Hi, I'm hoping someone will be able to help me! My husband's great grandfather William Myers volunteered as a scout during the Bannock Indian War of 1878. Unfortunately he was killed on 23 June 1878 during the Battle of Silver Creek in South/East Oregon. He left his widow, Cornelia Richardson Myers, and their 4 small children in the small mining town of Atlanta, Idaho. I was wondering if someone could possibly check to see if William's death was mentioned in a York Co. PA. Newspaper? Thank you so much for any information or clues no matter how small! Sincerely, Kathleen
