Listers, I am new to this list. I am searching the PARR surname in York and Adams counties. PARR(PFARR) Johan Jacob, originally from Gonnheim, the Palatinate, arrived with his family in Philadelphia, PA. on 19 Sep 1738 aboard the "Thistle". His wife was Catharina Elisabetha Bohler[Boehler]. He acquired land near Littlestown,[now Adams co, PA.] and had two sons: Jacob, Jn. and Johan Adam. Both created lines of Parrs resident in the area for generations. I am particularly interested in the whereabouts of Johan Jacob between his arrival in 1738 and his land purchase of 1749.
