    3. Hi Kathy, Official records are those that relate to securing land from the colony (and later the commonwealth) of PA. It's a five-fold process: application, warrant, survey, application for a patent, issuance of a patent. Unofficial records related to buying and selling the land via deed or other paper of transfer.
