Peter Grasel, (s John Grasel and Magalene Taelzer ?) b ca 1786 in Rye Twp., Cumberland Co., Pa.; m 19 Jan 1808 to Barbara Ort (Orth) ? (da Heinrich Ort and Anna Catharina____???) b 1782, York, Pa. Peter was Christened 29 Jan 1786. Father: John Grasel, Mother: Magdalene and Sponsor: Stephen Strible were in attendance at the Zion Luthern Church, York, Pa. Peter and Barbara had two sons: Henrich (Henry)Gressle b 13 Feb 1808; Baptized 13 Apr 1808. Johannes Grassley b 13 Sept 1815. John Grasel, b ca between 1746-1754, York, Pa.; m 22 Nov 1772 to Magdalene Taelzer ?, York, Pa. Passenger ship records (Ship 1751 Shirley) shows a Christoph Grassle, wife Anna Barbara (Schneider) and a son Johann Michael age 5 (1746) possibly the same John Grasel.
