Hello I am trying to determine if Jacob Lewis Stough, who was born Mar. 6, 1836, was married two times. My records indicate he was married to Lena Berger on Oct. 18, 1857. I acquired a pension file for a Jacob L. Stough some time ago. This Jacob was enlisted in York, PA in the 12th U.S. Infantry as a 2nd Lieut. The pension file states he was married to Sarah E. Mallory on Mar. 3, 1870 in Washington, Indiana. It also states that he was not previously married. I am wondering if anyone has researched the Berger line and found this data. My data on her came from information donated to the York County Heritage Trust Library. I believe I know who donated the information. I correspond with a gentleman from the family that had an aunt submit info to the LDS that was incorrect, and we believe she donated this info on Lena as well. Can anyone assist me with this? Thanks.
