James Smith DID leave descendants...2 children....and that was what I asked.....did he leave children? When dealing with genealogical research , or anything else for that matter, we need to say what we actually mean. If you meant "I've been told that James Smith left no grandchildren", then say so! Was that the generation when his line ended? If not, which generation? Facts are the important aspects of research, not "implications", which certainly leaves room for error.
