    3. Good Afternoon listers: I am hoping that someone out there can help in solving my brick wall family history challenge. The Gruber/Gruver's I am researching are one of the ones mentioned in the Berks County History, by M. A. Gruber in the early 1900s. My line shows up in Franklin County, PA and according to M. A. Gruber are associated with the Gruber/Gruvers of Perry and Juniata counties. My Gruber/Gruver family line appear in Franklin County, Pa. beginning in about 1786. They include Henrich, and brothers Peter and Johannes. Johannes died in 1803. And Peter and Henrich both died in 1819. It is my understanding that they may have been in Lancaster County prior to moving to Franklin County, or even possibly Perry and Juniata after being in Franklin County. According to Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church records, Pleasant Hall, Franklin County, other families who are associated and married into these families include... Shearer, Kramer/Cramer, Huber, Burtenfield/Burtsfield, Kiefer/Keefer and possibly Klopp, Meyer and Miller. I would like to determine the father and mother of Johannes Gruber/Gruver/Groover whose wife is Elizabeth UNKNOWN. Some fellow researchers seem to think that this line descends from one of the Berks County Gruber lines and some think that it might be the Bucks County Gruber's. I have seen that there was the Henry b.abt. 1700 of Berks with son Henry b.1747 who according to Berks county history had two children one Peter b. 1768 and Ann Margaret b.1785. This is a big gap, I have always wondered why. However, supposedly Peter is shown as removing first to Lancaster County and then York County. Does anyone out there have any information on anyone that might be associated with this Gruber/Gruver family. Kathy
