Rev Robert Cathcart was a Presbyterian minister at York and Hopewell, beginnng his ministry there in 1793.
Don, Thank you again. Would you happen to know if the baptisms were infant or adult? It is common today for Presbyterians to baptise infants, with confirmation at about 12 years of age, but I'm not sure if that was the practice in the late 18th Century. These would appear to be adult children of George McCance (McKann) Sr. Pam ----- Original Message ----- From: don <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, March 14, 2001 9:55 PM Subject: [PAYorkGEN] Re:George McCance > Rev Robert Cathcart was a Presbyterian minister at York and Hopewell, > beginnng his ministry there in 1793. > > > ==== PA-YORK-GEN Mailing List ==== > This is the official list of the York County, Pennsylvania USGENWEB Project at: > http://www.rootsweb.com/~payork/ > > ============================== > Search over 900 million names at Ancestry.com! > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/rwlist1.asp >
