    1. Solomon Hartman
    2. I am seeking information or confirmation on Solomon Hartman s/o Daniel Hartman [1801-1863] and Catharine Albrecht/Albright. Per information from another researcher, Solomon was born 04 Dec 1824 in York Co., and Christened 27 Mar 1825 at Christ Lutheran Church. I've found him on the following censuses: 1850 - West Manchester Twp., York Co., PA Solomon - aged 25, laborer, b PA Catharine - aged 22, b PA Catharine - aged 09 months, b PA Matilda Shellenberger - aged 08, b PA 1860 - Manchester Twp., York Co., PA Solomon - aged 36, laborer, b PA Catharine - aged 29, wife, b PA [Note she's only 7 years older that 10 years prior.] Barbara A - aged 08, b PA [He is living in dwelling next to his parents; Daniel 59, and Catharine 58.] 1870 - Manchester Twp., York Co., PA, Post Office: Mount Wolf Sol [sic] - aged 45, works in stone quary, b PA Catharine - aged 41, keeps house, b PA [Note difference in age again.] Catharine - aged 69, b PA [This is 'probably' Solomon's mother; his father died 1863.] I could not find Solomon, his wife Catharine, nor his mother Catharine, on 1880 census. But I did find on transcription of Hoover's Cemetery, E. Manchester Twp. - the following: Catharine Hartman, w/o Daniel, 31 Jul 1801 - 26 Mar 1886; aged 84y7m25d [Daniel is buried in Loucks Cemetery.] Solomon Hartman, 24 Mar 1825 - 10 Sep 1878; aged 53y5m16d Nathaniel Hartman, s/o Solomon and Catharine, 01 Jan 1865 - 04 Feb 1865; aged 0y1m3d I am seeking some type of confirmation that this Solomon is truly s/o my Daniel and Catharine since the Christening date is shown as his birth on the cemetery transcriptiion. Also is this Catharine actually Catharine Albrecht/Albright, - and, what happened to Solomon's wife, Catharine. Sorry this is such a long message but I wanted to share the information I've been able to find up to this point; especially if someone else is working this family. Thanks so much for your attention. 1. Ferguson
    2. In the 1850 census is an Daniel Ferguson married to Elizabeth Smith. He was born in 1818 to Willaim Ferguson I am wondering if there is a land record or a marriage record available. I am not sure what county he lived in . He should be from lancaster but these counties seem to change names <rueful smile>

I found his intention and Naturalization papers in York county PA ( Int. )1861 (Natz)1863 I gives no other information I took a look at the actual copy of the census page for Carroll township Maryland T623 roll620 page158A. Manchester district. This had a JOHN F. KOERNER aged 82 widowed listed as being born Oct 1818. for the immigration date I read it as 1857 not 1851. This JOHN F. KOERNER is living in the household of his son Edward who was born in JAN 1877 in Maryland. If this is your Frederick J. Koerner, perhaps you should revisit some ships lists with 1857 instead of 1851 and look for a JOHN and/or a FREDERICK. I realize this might not be the help you wanted but thought I would let you know how I thought the number looked like a 7 and not a 1. VA Reed

Koerner, Kerner,Kanner, Korner Born 1818 in Aldenburg Germany On the Carroll County Md.1900 census it states he came to US in 1851, How much can I trust this date? I found his intention and Naturalization papers in York county PA ( Int. )1861 (Natz)1863 I gives no other information I sent to Baltimore and Philadelphia for ships list, they didn't find him I checked the Ships list books at the York Pa Heritage Trust , no luck found him and wife in York County PA census 1860., I have not found any information to cause me to believe he lived any other place then York County Pa and then Carroll County Md from the late 1970s till death. What else can I look, what else can I do to find this information ? I do not belong to Ancestry.com and I do not live near a library where I could order film so please don't send that information, I have that information I sure many of you have run into this problem and moved on to find what you need how and where were some of the other places did you find records and information?
