Hi Sue, Haven't heard from you in many moons. We are cousins I guess....as I am descended from Oswald I via Daniel's son John. I was curious about his wife Anna Wolffram's (born 13 Aug 1805) family. I visited her grave in Ohio, There is a reference to Anna dying in Pittsburg but being returned to Ohio to Wyandott for burial next to her husband, her two daughter in laws (Juda and Susa Zimmerman who were the first and second wives of her son Daniel), and grand-daughter Hattie E. Dubbs. There is also a Hanson Dubbs (?son of Daniel and Juda), his wife Ida, and their infant son. I have Anna's father August Bernhart (died 1822) and mother Eva Kleindinst. I don't have anything further....did Anna have sibblings? Do we know anymore about her parents? Thanks, Jeanne
Jeanne & Nancy I must have missed some of this conversation, I decend from Oswald Dubs SR. Who is the Johannes Dubs you are looking for, with a wife Anna. Hello Nancy, The Dubs that I am descended from is Oswald who arrived in Philadelphia in 1750 on the ship Anderson. He is said to be Swiss, but all I am sure about is that he spoke German. (His will is in German). He is my 5th Ggrandfather....and intermarried with Salome Bowman. There were two sons who survived into adulthood, Daniel and Oswald II, as well as 5 daughters. Both sons stayed in the Codorus area and had many more sons. I am descended from John, the youngest of Daniel's sons. He moved on to Ohio in the 1830's, and added a D to his name. Many of the cousins stayed in York and adjacent counties. They were quite active in the Reform church, and in fact instrumental in the founding of Emanuel Church and Dubs Church...There are many buried in the Wildasin's Meeting House grounds. Hope this helps. Jeanne

Hi, again, Jeanne: Sorry, I'm confusing the two Evas. Eve Kleindinst (1764-1814): Parents: Johann David Kleindinst, Sr. (1725, Germany - 1798, Codorus, York, PA) Magdalena (?) (1731, Germany - ?) Siblings: Johann David, Jr. (abt 1753, PA - 1798, York, PA) Godfried/Gottfried (abt 1755, PA - abt 1840, PA) Christian (abt 1758, PA - 1838, York, PA) Barbara (1760, PA - ?) Andrew (1762 - ?) Hi, Jeanne: I'm not sure where in York Co. Eva Catherine Brenneman was born, but both she and her husband (Johann Christian Klinedinst) were buried at St. Paul Lutheran (Ziegler's) in North Codorus. They raised their children in York New Salem, North Codorus Twp. Hi Debra, I'm sorry to say that I have nothing more about her....only the date of her daughter Anna's birth and marriage to John(Johanes) Dub(b)s would make her at least a contemporary of the Eva you mentioned. Hello Letty, Will you please see if Edward (or Ed) KESTING and wife Elizabeth (nee SHAMBAUGH) are included in the 1890 Baltimore City directory? Would children be listed? I am having a problem finding them after the 1880 census. I thank you for your time and help! Helen Sanders
Guys, I made templates for recording census data from 1790 through 1930. The templates are in Microsoft Excel. They display the data in a very readable format. You can find and download these templates at my web site: http://eplingwy.com/ under the Genealogy tab (Census Templates). Note that my web site is rather primitive - I will do better in the future.
