Looking for information on Marshall's in and around York County Pa. and Carroll County Maryland I have a Lizzie Koerner married to Rainhold Marshal May 23 1883 It was in the Hanover Herald June 2 1883. They were Married by Rev. Ketterman. Also would like to know what Church Rev. Ketterman would have been Pastor of at that time. Its been my understanding that he may have moved around from Church to Church. This is my first posting to the list and I would be very appreciative for any help or suggestions I may receive regards a band, possibly as brass band, the community named New Emigsville had circa 1920. My grandmother, her siblings, and parents came to that area from Semlak, Hungary. I have found the land records for them and also two old photos showing my great- uncles wearing band uniforms and standing by a drum showing the name of New Emigsville. Where should I write to get information about this band and it's history? They are wonderful old photos and I would like to have something to share about them when I do the family book. Where should I write to get help locating exact location of the land and possibly get help having somebody photograph the home as it is today? I have in my possession a photo showing the family sitting in front of a stone home which I assume was the house in PA. The family was Evangelical (Lutheran). Was there a church most of the immigrants attended in the area of New Emigsville? If so, were the records microfilmed by the LDS? Thank you for any help or suggestions. Brian Is Emanuel b. 1845 married to Susanna Rohrbach. Was Susanna married before or do I have the wrong surname for her. I do show they had a dau Alice b. 1868. Do you have the marriage date to confirm this. Susanna Rohrbach/Rohrbaugh b. abt 1847 is listed in the household of Solomon Rohrbaugh & Catherine Brenneman. Need to verify this by a marriage record.
