Debra, Thank you for your interest and quick response. The second William Kauffman (1910 Census) is indeed the "correct" one. Unfortunately, neither of the Sloat's in your listing was my grandfather (John) or great grandfather (Henry). The latter was living in West Earl Township, Lancaster County at the time of his death in 1907. The 1920 Census entry for John Sloat is interesting because of several coincidences, namely - wife's name (Emma), father's name (Henry), daughter (Grace - my grandparents had a daughter named Anna Grace). This however, is a different John Sloat. Incidentally, the "preferred" spelling of the surname was actually SCHLOTT. Once again, thank you for the info. If you come across any additional ideas/information, I certainly would appreciate them. Lowell -----Original Message----- From: D. Seeking information on the family of William Kauffman who was born about 1866 and who lived in East Manchester, York County in 1910. He died in December 1937. His wifes name was Agnes. They had a son whose name was Lester. An entry in my grandmother Emma Sloats (nee Trego) diary indicates a family relationship between my grandfather, John Sloat and William Kauffman. The entry indicates that Lester Kauffman and his mother Agnes attended my grandfathers funeral on June 10, 1938. In addition, I have several photos of both William and Lester. On the back of one of Williams photos is a note indicating that he was a cousin of John Sloat, my grandfather. I have not been able to identify the family match-up. Any help would be appreciated. Does anyone have any information regarding Mt. Zion Church which I believe would have been in Warrington Twp. on property owned by John Prunty in the original land grants. It is between Mount Top & Blair Hill. Did this church have a cemetery? Where would I be able to locate burials there if so? I also see there was another church and school north and slightly west of Mount Top. Any ideas on what church this is and did it have a cemetery? I am looking for the burial place of Margaret Ramsey Farra, daughter of Thomas Ramsey 1710-1780 who married William Farra. Thanks, Sheila
