Thank you for your very timely reply. So many people don't reply - either the email address is no longer viable or they just don't care. I have check out the Chanceford map at the York Archives and found it very interesting. I will try to consult the material mentioned in your email. Thanks again - and I just might be back in touch. Hi - I have a cluster of Raab's (also Raub, Raap) in Windsor Township, York County being involved with official acquisition of property from the proprietor's of PA: Peter Raab, Peter Raab, Jr., George Raab (probably the son). All detail summarized in my Volume 9: York, Windsor and Lower Windsor Townships, Original PA Land Records Series, pages 95-6 and 104. My connected survey maps show "where" these earliest settlers lived. For those who may not be aware - the original land records for ALL OF YORK county have been completed (16 volumes and 33 maps). What has happened to the info on this site? I haven't received anything since December. Granted I'm sitting in the middle of Florida with our cold temps in the 40's, but hope I haven't been shut out of my favorite site! Yes I'll be back to freeze with you in April! >
Pat When you get to the message board, there will be a place to select the location of the photo on your computer. Once you select it, the photo will be uploaded to RootsWeb. If you or anyone else needs help with this, feel free to email me privately and I will help out (stauch1752@earthlink.net). I do not want to clutter the list with messages not related to York County. I haven't had anything from there either for quite a while. They probably are frozen, as it has gotten down to about 40-45 above here a couple of nights this winter. If you go to the Rootsweb message boards for York County, you can post photos on there for all to see. I have done this before, and it is easy to do. Blake M. Is it off air or is everyone just frozen in York. My question is --- is there someway to put a family reunion picture of the York site for anyone to look at and see if they recognize the families? I know you can do it on some of the other sites. I have what I think is a picture of my great grandparents and family members but I didn't know them or the family members so other then saying that the woman looks like my grandmother did I have no idea who they are. I have a good clear picture. Also hopeful in finding some of this family. Kaye: What Family Name is the picture of ? My husband's family comes from York and we have tons, and tons, of relatives there. Our family came there in the 1700's. If you send me the name, I might be able to id some of the people. Or, a cousin now living in York works at the historical soc. as a volunteer and he's very knowledgeable. Let me hear from you, Indie Shepp ----- Original Message ----- From: <CEHAUGHEE@aol.com> To: <PA-YORK-GEN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, January 27, 2004 6:27 PM Subject: [PAYorkGEN] Picture > I have had nothing form the York site for weeks.
