Ted, I have never seen enlistment forms or papers.  My GGF and his brother both served with the PA 6th CAV.  I was hoping if I got their enlistment papers they might show the village/city of their birth in the Grand Duchy of Baden, early 1940's.  What do you think/know?  I appreciate you quick response and willingness to help.     3. Chuck, Sometimes enlistment papers do not provide alot of personal information. Now if for some reason he had pension papers then they may have alot of personal information. Lets start by sending their names to me, and I will see what I can find on them. I will also check the pension index, this way you won't be wasting time and money.     3. Was Francis' wife's name Margaret? I found a Francis Sicer in both 6th PA Cavalry Co K and 2nd PA Prov"l Calvary Co K. Francis Sicer in the 6th PA Calvary says alternate name Frank Sicer. There was also a pension index for Francis Sizer, wife Margaret, who served in both 2nd PA Prov. Calvary Co K and 6th PA Calvary Co K. American Civil War Soldiers about Frank Sicer Name: Frank Sicer Enlistment Date: 1 Jan 1864 Side Served: Union State Served: Pennsylvania Service Record: Enlisted as a Private on 1 January 1864.
