Found in the Pittsburgh Gazette dated Saturday, July 16 1904: WILLIAM J McKINNEY, aged 29, son the late HARVEY J McKINNEY of Pittsburgh, died yesterday in the Mercy hospital of appendicitis after one week's illness. He was born in Turtle Creek, where he lived until going to Wilkinsburg a year ago. After his marriage a few months ago, he lived at No. 311 Meade street. He was a member of the Turtle Creek Presbyterian church and of the Elks' lodge No. 577 of Wilkinsburg. He is survived by his widow, FLORENCE ANDERSON McKINNEY, three brothers, SAMUEL of Wilkinsburg and LOUIS O and FRANK E of Turtle Creek, and three sisters, Mrs F W SMITH of Wilkinsburg and MARY K and REBECCA of Turtle Creek. The services will be held tonight at the residence and interment at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning in Grand View cemetery, Wilmerding. JAMES G NEAL, aged 55, a former manufacturer of the Penn avenue district, died late Thursday night at his home in Windgap avenue, McKees Rocks. He was born in Wigton, Scotland, and when 16 years old came to the United States. He formerly conducted an iron foundry in Twenty-sixth street. The plant was destroyed by fire in 1881. Following this Mr NEAL was employed by the Carnegie Plow & Manufacturing Company. In 1872 he married Miss MARY GALLAGHER, who with five daughters and six sons survive. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock at St Francis de Sales Catholic church, McKees Rocks. Mrs ELLEN DIXON, widow of RICHARD T DIXON, died at her home, No. 31 Mayflower street, last evening. Her death was due to cancer, from which she had suffered many months. Mrs DIXON was born in Sheffield, England, in 1841 and had been a resident of Pittsburgh since 1885. She was a member of the Fourth Methodist Protestant church. Four sons, THOMAS W DIXON, WALTER W DIXON, JOHN H DIXON, ERNEST R DIXON, and two daughters, EDITH DIXON and Mrs GEORGE W HALL, are the surviving children. GEORGE KILLMEYER, aged 55, died yesterday morning at his home, No. 38 Elliott street, West End, in which section he had lived for 34 years. He was a native of Germany and came here in 1870. For many years he was employed in Painter's mills. Mr KILLMEYER was a member of the St Martin's Catholic church, where funeral services will be held over his remains at 9 am Monday. He is survived by his widow, Mrs MARGARET KILLMEYER, and three children. AUGUST TILLMON, aged 20, died at his home in Munhall yesterday of typhoid fever. He was single and is survived by his parents. WILLIAM H ALDRIDGE, a prominent grocer, died yesterday of heart failure at Steubenville, O., aged 52 years.
