The Valley Independent October 17, 1969 WEDDELL Mrs Virginia Elizabeth WEDDELL, 57, of 406 Washington Ave, Charleroi, who formerly taught in Charleroi public schools, died today at 8 30 am in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Mrs WEDDELL was born in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Dr JW and Martha J NICHOLLS HUNTER. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Charleroi and its Women’s Association. She was past regent of the Monongahela Valley Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and also belonged to the Gothic Club and Athene Club, both of Charleroi. Surviving are her husband, Arthur W; a son, John A of Fort Wayne, Ind. Friends will be received at the Harold L Schrock Funeral Home, Charleroi, from 7 to 9pm tomorrow and from noon to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Sunday. DORRYCOTT Della Frances DORRYCOTT, 67, of 400 Fifth St, Charleroi, died today at 4 30 am in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Miss DORRYCOTT was former owner of the Trio Shoppe in Donora and before that worked 36 years for Kirk and Clark of Charleroi. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Charleroi, its Women’s Society of Christian Service and Isabelle Thoburn Sunday School Class, the Tuesday Evening Prayer Club and Women’s Benefit Association. Born in Washington, Pa, she was a daughter of the late John J and Clara F COEN DORRYCOTT. Surviving are a sister, Mrs Kathryn MORGAN of Belle Vernon, and a brother, James C DORRYCOTT of Knoxville, Tenn. RANKIN The Rev Harry W Rankin, 48, of 101 Cherry Ave, Houston, died Tuesday in Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was the pastor of the First United Presbyterian Church and former pastor of the River Road Presbyterian Church of Washington DC. Among his survivors are a brother, the Rev John R Rankin, pastor of the First United Presbyterian Church of California. GOSSEAUX Mrs Jules (Celina) GOSSEAUX, 78, of 509 Jefferson Ave, West Brownsville, died on Wednesday in Brownsville Hospital. Survivors include: her husband, Jules A; four sons, Emile F, Ypsilanti, Mich, Frank of Weirton, W Va, Joseph of Warren, Mich, Eugene A of Belle Vernon; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers. BARR Roy W BARR, 53, prominent Marianna businessman, died at 4 pm yesterday in Presbyterian-University Hospital, Pittsburgh. Mr BARR was a partner in the HAZELETT and BARR Clover Farm Store, Marianna. He was a member of St Mary and Ann RC Church, Marianna, and its Holy Name Society. He also belonged to Knights of Columbus and Marianna Businessmen’s Association. Mr BARR was fire chief of Marianna Volunteer Fire Co and was on the advisory board of Fox Grocery Associaton. Born in West Bethlehem Twp, he was the son of Urso LEONARD BARR and the late Samuel BARR. Surviving besides his mother, who lives at Marianna RD 1, are his widow, Helen MAYHUT BARR; two daughters, Mrs James A (Kathleen) MOSCETTA, formerly of Fredericktown, and Barbara at home; two brothers, Boyd of Belle Vernon and Duane of Prosperity; two sisters, Vaughn HORNE and Marjorie REEVES, both of Marianna RD 1; one grandson. Friends will be received today only at the John H Shrontz Funeral Home, Marianna. DEADRICK Albert Davis DEADRICK, 93, of 3500 Cliff St, Finleyville, died on Wednesday in Monongahela Memorial Hospital, after a lingering illness. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Finleyville where he served as a deacon and a trustee. He was also a member of the United Mine Workers Local No 73 of Library. Survivors include: his daughter, Pearl GARLAND, wife of the Rev Henry GARLAND, pastor of the Second Baptist Church of Monongahela, with whom he made his home; a brother, Ruben, of Tazewell, Tenn. Friends will be received at the First Baptist Church of Finleyville.
