On last Sunday night the spirit of little Cyrene, the 8 year old daughter of Dr. and Mrs. C. J. NEWCOMB winged on its way to that bright and heavenly home from whence no traveler returneth. Like a bud just ready to bloom was little Cyrene when the hand of death was laid upon her and God took her to himself, leaving behind aching hearts and scalding tears. It is said most truthfully the ways of God are mysterious and surpass man's understanding, but he doeth all things well. . Cyrene was sick a very short time with diphtheria and her death was a surprise to her many friends. She was the only child, and her heart broken parents have the sympathy of the whole community. *Midway column, non genealogical portions snipped for brevity
