WHITE, MCCONNELL, GRAY, MCANANY, BARRETT Mrs. Mary WHITE, the colored woman who was drowned while bathing in the river near Monongahela Saturday was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. BUTLER of the South Side. Mr. WHITE was killed about a year ago in the Hazelkirk mine. Died July 4, Mrs. Archie MCCONNELL, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John STEELE, of Sturgeon, aged 42 years. Mrs. MCCONNELL leaves a husband and three children, funeral services at her late home, July 6, at 4:30 p.m. Services were conducted by Revs. WOLF and DOAK. *Sturgeon column Mrs. D. G. GRAY died July 4th after a lingering illness of Bright's disease. Deceased was aged about 40 years and has been a life long member of the U. P. church. She is survived by her husband and father, J. G. PYLES and one sister, Mrs. Oliver DWYER, and one brother, S. H. PYLES, all of Midway. Funeral services were held Friday from her late home, services were conducted by Rev. J. D. GIBSON assisted by Rev. IRONS of McDonald, and Rev. KERR of Candor. Interment at Candor. *Midway column Mrs. John MCANANY of East Pittsburg but formerly of Midway, died at her home Monday, July 9th, of typhoid fever. Mrs. MCANANY had been in ill health for some time before the fever developed. She is survived by her husband and several children. She was about 36 years of age. George and James MCFARLANE of this place were brothers of Mrs. MCANANY and Mrs. Robert HERD and Mrs. John COCHRAN are half sisters. Mr. MCANANY has many friends in Midway who sympathize with him in his sad bereavement. *Midway column A little child of the BARRETT family at Creedmore Valley, died Sunday. *Cecil column
