Obituaries found in the Pittsburgh Press dated August 16 1903: RICHARD THOMAS DIXON, 57 years old, died yesterday morning at his home, No. 31 Mayflower street, East Liberty, of cancer of the stomach. Since 1884, Mr DIXON had been official plumber for the Pennsylvania railroad. He was born in Sheffield, England, and came to this country in 1883. He was a member of the Fourth Methodist episcopal church, of Hallman lodge, No. 321, F and A M; Charles D Freeman lodge, No. 130, I O O F, and the Knights of the Mystic Chain. His widow, four sons, THOMAS W., WALTER W., JOHN H., ERNEST R., and two daughters, EDITH MAY and Mrs GEORGE W HALL, survive. JARED HUXLEY, one of the best-known lawyers of Youngstown, died yesterday of heart disease. He was born at Ellsworth July 23 1840 and reared on a farm. He taught school at various places in Ohio and Indiana during his early life and was graduated from Oberlin in 1867. During the civil war, he was a clerk in the quartermaster's department at Mobile, Ala. He was admitted to the bar at Norfolk in 1871 and had practiced at Youngstown ever since. He is survived by one sister, Mrs E J CAMPBELL. Mrs ANNIE MAY SCHEAFFER, 35 years old, died at the East End hospital yesterday noon. She was born in Germany and removed to Pittsburgh with the family about 30 years ago. Her maiden name was ANNIE MAY SCHNEIDER. She was a member of the Park Avenue Presbyterian church. Besides her husband, she is survived by her mother, Mrs MARGARET SCHNEIDER; one brother, WILLARD SCHNEIDER; and four sisters, Mrs EVA SCOTT, Mrs LENA EBEL, Mrs KATE MERTZ and Miss MARGARET SCHNEIDER.
