    3. HAYS, RIEU, COCHRAN, SMITH, WEIMER, VINCENTI Thomas Andrew HAYS, 59, died at 9:45 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 1943, in his home in Clinton township, Butler county. He was a road supervisor of Clinton township and had been a resident of the district for 25 years. He was a member of the Clinton U. P. church, Butler county. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edna WESTERMAN HAYS: three sisters, and three brothers, Mrs. Earl REDICK of Barr street, McDonald, is a sister. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon of last week. Burial was in the Summit Presbyterian church cemetery. Charles COCHRAN, better known as Diamond, died suddenly at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, 1943, in his home in Oakdale. He had been in ill health the past year. Mr. COCHRAN was born December 25, 1885 in Grayson County, Va., and came to this locality from Latrobe about 25 years ago, first locating in Primrose. He resided in McDonald before going to Oakdale. His father, the late Richard COCHRAN, died while the family resided in McDonald. Charles COCHRAN and Marguerite FORD were married December 24, 1920, in Steubenville, Ohio. They had no children. Besides his wife, he is survived by a sister, Jeddie HAMPTON of Galax, Va., and a half-brother, Fields BRYANT. Funeral services were held Saturday and burial was Monday. Mrs. Hazel SMITH, House 43, Montour No. 9, R. D. 1, McDonald, died Wednesday, October 13, 1943, in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mose MORRE, McDonald, after a seven-week illness. She was born March 23, 1898 in West Virginia. She is survived by five children: Mrs. Mose MOORE, McDonald, Sgt. Charles SMITH, New River, N. C., Huey SMITH, U. S. Navy, Camp Peary, Williamsburg, Va., James SMITH, Los Angeles, Calif., and Sgt. Robert SMITH, Sicily; her mother, Mrs. C. J. THOMPSON, McDonald; two brothers: James THOMPSON, McDonald, and John THOMPSON, Detroit, Mich.; a stepbrother Wilbert HOWARD, Baltimore, Md.; a step sister, Miss Mary ADAMS, McDonald, R. D. and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the Baptist church, McDonald, in charge of the Rev. David MDODANA. Burial was in the Candor cemetery. Mrs. Clara Edith WEIMER, 82, died at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, October 9, 1943, in her home in R. D. 3, Meyersdale, of heart trouble. A daughter of the late William and Lyda PATTON HAWN, she was born August 16 (or 18), in Elk Lick township, where she spent her childhood. She and Norman Francis WEIMER were united in marriage December 26, 1879, in Elk Lick township, and lived in Maryland a number of years. Later they moved to Storm Lake, Iowa, then to Quincy, Ill., and back to Somerset county where she spent the rest of her life. She was a member of St. Michael's church, Salisbury. She is survived by two daughters: Rose, the wife of Harry MORT of Hooversville, and Hazel, the wife of Ernest MERRBACH, of R. D. 3, Meyersdale; a brother, Peter HAWN of Akron, Ohio, and two sisters: Mrs. Lulu SHANK and Mrs. Henry SCHRAMM, both of Salisbury. There are 29 grandchildren, 5* great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. August DOEHRE of Fannie street, as granddaughter, made her home with her grandmother for a number of years. Her husband, Norman WEIMER, died November 2, 1939, at the age of83, a son William died May 10, 1928, and four daughters are deceased: Mrs. Alma MURRAY DIEHL died in Southview in 1937, Mrs. Bell KELLER died in Esterville, Iowa, in 1930, Mrs. Carrie BAKER of Salisbury died June 11, 1911, and Mrs. Marie BLOCHER of Salisbury died May 12, 1911. A sister, Mrs. Mary LARUE, and tow brothers, Wilson HAWN and Milton HAWN died in Salisbury. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning in charge of her pastor, the Rev. Father URBAN. Burial was in St. Michael's cemetery. Clara Sadie VINCENTI, daughter of the late Thomas and Angeline VINCENTI, of Hanlin Station, died at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 13, 1943, in the Washington county home hospital Arden. She was born September 30, 1910 at Meadowlands. Surviving are three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. August DONATI of Burgettstown, Mrs. Amelio PETRILENA of Moon Run, Mrs. Philip DARMELIO of Weirton, W. Va., Joseph A. VINCENTI of Hanlin Station and John D. VINCENTI of Paris. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the Joseph A. VINCENTI home in charge of the Rev. R. L. BIDDLE. Burial was in the Paris cemetery.
