NEA, MCCLURG, LEYTRICK Jacob NEA, 63, of Howard street McDonald, a former resident of Sturgeon, died at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, October 21, 1943, in the Mercy hospital, Pittsburgh, following a three-week illness. He is survived by his wife Mary; five sons-Stanley, Joseph, Edward Frank, and John, and six daughters-Mrs. Leon KLIMAS, Mrs. Stanley KLIMEK, Mrs. Peter DERVANIK, Mrs. William J. BERRY, Sophie, and Dorothy all residing in McDonald. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in St. Alphonsus church McDonald, in charge of the Rev. Fr. J. A. BURGOON. Burial was in St. Patrick's cemetery, Noblestown. Compiler's note: Mrs. Stanley (Marie Leytrick) NEA is my paternal great-aunt. Mrs. Martha Etta MCCLURG, wife of Joseph Allen MCCLURG, died at 4:00 a.m. Monday, October 27, 1943, in her home, 106 Main street Burgettstown, following several months' illness. She was born June 9, 1869, in Washington county near Frankfort, a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth DEVITT. She was a member of the First U. P. church of Burgettstown. Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Guylia DEER, Avella; two sons: Samuel Lawrence Holidays Cove, W. Va., and J. Lee, Dundalk, Md.; one granddaughter and two grandsons. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the MCCLURG home in charge of the Rev. R. C. SUTTON. Burial was in Mill Creek cemetery. Mrs. Theressa KVAK LEYTRICK, aged 64 years, seven months, and nine days, died suddenly of a heart attack at 9:30 a.m. Friday, October 22, 1943, in her home, 246 Valley street, McDonald. A daughter of the late Stephen and Anna KVAK, she was born March 18, 1879, in old Austria-Hungary, and came to the United States 42 years ago, first locating near Federal. Shortly afterward the family moved to McDonald. Mrs. LEYTRICK was a member of the National Slovak Society, Local No. 230, of Oakdale. Besides her husband, John LEYTRICK she is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Pauline SIMMAK of Czechoslovakia, Mrs. Victoria HOSPODAR of Valley street, McDonald, Mrs. Marie NEA of Orchard street, McDonald, and Mrs. Josephine JANESHEK of Midway; three sons: Stephen EYTRICK of Howard street, McDonald, Sgt. Emil LEYTRICK, stationed in Iceland, and Pvt. Dallas LEYTRICK, stationed at Ft. LAWTON, Wash. There are twelve grandchildren. Two sons, John LEYTRICK and Martin LEYTRICK, are deceased. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the LEYTRICK home, conducted by the Rev. Philip W. HORNE, pastor of the Midway Baptist church. Burial was in Robinson's Run cemetery.
