Hunter Margaret G. (Mrs. James W. Sr.) Hunter, 90, of Ligonier, died Friday, April 27, 1990, at Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born Feb. 1, 1900, in Ligonier, a daughter of the late David Albert and Mary (Deeds) Geeting. She was a member of the Pioneer Presbyterian Church, Ligonier. She was a past noble grand and member of the Ligonier Rebekah Lodge No. 314, and past matron and over 60-year member of the Fort Ligonier VFW Auxiliary No. 734, the Byers-Tosh American Legion Unit 267, and the Ligonier Golden Agers. She also served for many years as a member of the Ligonier Elections Board. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Hunter Sr. in 1972; a son, Charles Edward Hunter; and three brothers, Charles, Milton and George Geeting. She is survived by four sons, David G. Hunter Sr. of Fayetteville, Tenn., James W. Jr. and Thomas B. Hunter Sr., both of Ligonier, and Joseph R. Hunter of Scottsdale, Ariz.; six grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. Funeral services were held Monday at McCabe Funeral Home, Ligonier, with the Rev. Don Kistler officiating. Burial was in Ligonier Valley Cemetery. __________________________________________
