Geeting. Geneva F. (Mrs. George D.) Geeting, 85, of Ligonier, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 1989, at Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born Sept. 22, 1904, in Derry Township, a daughter of the late William N. and Catherine (Hauger) Frable. She was a registered nurse having graduated from Mercy Hospital, Johnstown. She was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church, Ligonier. She was also a member and past matron of Fort Ligonier Chapter 349 Order of Eastern Star. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Golden Age Club, and a former member of the Quilting Club of Ligonier. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Deeds Geeting, in 1973; and three brothers, Vertal, Paul and Frank Frable. She is survived by a son, William (Frable) Geeting of Bellefonte; a grandson, Mark William Geeting of Augusta, Ga.; two nephews; and four nieces. Funeral services were held Tuesday, at the Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Ligonier, with the Rev. Samuel L. Allaman officiating. Burial was in Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
