LESCOVITZ, MUENSTER, BRADY, WEBBER, MONTGOMERY, LEMANCK, MCCULLOUGH Miss Bertha LESCOVITZ, 22, of Midway died at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 9, 1943, in the Cresson sanitarium, where she had been a patient for six years. She is survived by her parents Mr. and Mrs. John LESKOVITZ, two brothers: Victor, stationed in England, and Albert at home, and two sisters: Mrs. Pauline DEVUONO of Bulger and Miss Jennie LESCOVITZ at home. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning in the LESCOVITZ home. Burial was in the St. Ann's cemetery, Bulger. Bernard MUENSTER died at 5:30 a.m. Monday, October 4, 1943, in his home in Cecil. He is survived by four daughters: Mrs. John FITZSIMMONS of Fort Pitt, Mrs. Frank BELL of Cecil, and Mrs. Chester JOHNSON and Mrs. Bernard MUELLER, both of Carnegie, and three sons: Daniel MUENSTER of East Liverpool, Ohio, Raymond MUENSTER of Carnegie, and Pfc. William MUENSTER, stationed in an army camp. His wife, the former Catherine MCLAUGHLIN, preceded him in death. Funeral services were held Thursday morning of last week with requiem mass in St. Luke's church, Carnegie. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery. Mrs. Catherine O'DONNELL BRADY, 90, widow of Philip a. BRADY, died Tuesday morning, October 12, 1943, in her home, 137 North Arabella street, McDonald. She is survived by two sons: H. A. BRADY of Oklahoma City, Okla., and John F. BRADY of Wichita Falls, Texas, and two daughters: Mrs. Helen FLAHERTY of Los Angeles, Calif., and Miss Rose F. BRADY at home. The following children are deceased: Mrs. Marie COLLINS, Charles P. BRADY, Edward J. BRADY, Ralph Leo BRADY, and Kathleen L. BRADY. Funeral services were held this Thursday morning with requiem mass in St. Alphonsus church, intoned by Bishop Ralph Leo HAYES, a nephew, who was assisted by the Rev. Fr. J. A. BURGOON. Burial was in Holy Souls cemetery, Campbell's Run road. William E. WEBBER, 74, prominent resident of McDonald, died at 11:35 a.m. Monday, October 11, 1943, in his home in Railroad street McDonald. Mr. WEBBER, who had lived in McDonald for 38 years, retired four years ago after serving for 42 years as weighmaster for the Pittsburgh Coal Co. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian church of McDonald, served as an elder of the church for 23 years and sang in the choir for 32 years. He was also a member of IOOF Lodge No. 605 and the Knights of Maltas. Mr. WEBBER was born December 7, 1869 in Blanavon, South Wales. On October 22, 1891, he married Sara LYKE and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1941. Besides his wife, he is survived by five children: Thomas of California, Pa., William E., Jr., of McDonald, Mrs. Frank BARTON of Knoxville, and Mrs. J. P. SCOTT and John WEBBER, both of Midway; 18 grandchildren, of whom five grandsons are serving with the armed forces, and 1 great-grandchild. Funeral services are being held this Thursday afternoon in the First U. P. church, McDonald, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. S. A. MCCOLLAM. Burial in Center cemetery, Midway. John T. MONTGOMERY, 69, died at his residence, 224 Shaffer avenue, DuBois, Sunday morning, October 10, 1943, after an illness of several months. He was born in Guernsey county, Ohio, a son of the late Samuel J. and Margaret A. MONTGOMERY. In early manhood he came to Noblestown where he was engaged in various occupations for a number of years. In June 1913 he was united in marriage to Margaret CLOSE of McDonald. During the past 30 years he had been a resident of DuBois, where he was employed by the H. J. Heinz Co. as a salesman, until his retirement four years ago. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church of DuBois and interested in all the work of the church, serving as trustee for a number o years, and for the past fifteen as a ruling elder. He is survived by his wife and the following children: John Paul of Henry, Ill., Samuel J. of Williamsport, Joseph C. of Riverside, Ill., and Don C. at home, and two grandchildren. He is also survived by five brothers and three sisters, of which, James P. MONTGOMERY of Pittsburgh, formerly of McDonald is a brother. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the family home in Dubois. Frank LEMANEK, 67, formerly of McDonald and Midway, died at 9:23 a.m. Tuesday, October 12, 1943, in his home in Midway, following an illness of approximately at year. He was born May 18, 1876, in Poland and came to this country about forty years ago, first locating in Primrose. He had resided in McDonald, Cecil and the surrounding towns before moving to Midway. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Antonia KOWALSKI LEMANEK; two sons: Frank LEMANEK of Detroit, Mich., and Steve LEMANEK at home; two daughter: Stepha, the wife of Paul STEMATZ of McKees Rocks, and Stella, the wife of Albert ROMAIN of Warren, Ohio.; two brothers, Valentine and Walter LEMANEK both of Detroit, Mich. There are five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. this Friday in the LEMANEK home, conducted by the Rev. Philip HORNE, pastor of the Midway Baptist church. Burial will be in Center cemetery, Midway. Mrs. Harriet MCCULLOUGH, 88, widow of George V. MCCULLOUGH died Sunday, August 3, 1943, in her home in Aleppo, Green county. Mrs. MCCULLOUGH was a daughter of John and Elizabeth COEN MCNEELEY and was born September 15, 1855, near Aleppo and spent her entire life in Aleppo township. She was the mother of eight children, six of whom are still living. They are: Mrs. Dora REIGEL of Cameron, W. Va., W. N. MCULLOUGH of Eightyfour, G. F. MCCULLOUGH of McDonald, J. R. MCCULLOUGH of Clinton and C. R. MCCULLOUGH and D. G. MCULLOUGH, both of Aleppo. There are 38 living grandchildren. J. P. MCCULLOUGH died in 1919 and Lettia MCCULLOUGH died in infancy. Mrs. MCCULLOUGH was buried in the Centennial cemetery. Services were conducted by the Rev. A. R. BAER, pastor of the Brethren churches of Quiet Dell and Cameron, W. Va.
