FARKAS, HUNTER John P. FARKAS, 63, died Thursday afternoon, September 9, 1943 in his home in Clinton, following several weeks' illness. Mr. FARKAS had been a farmer in the Clinton district for a number of years. He was a member of the Clinton United Presbyterian church. He is survived by his wife, Mary G. FARKAS; four daughters; Mrs. D. L. MCVAY of Coraopolis, Mrs. Edward MOYERS of Ashville, N. C., Mrs. A. F. JOSLYN of Clinton, and Miss Helen FARKAS of Coraopolis; three sons, John P. FARKAS, Jr., of Bellevue, Lt. Frank FARKAS, pilot of an army bomber overseas, and A/C Elmer FARKAS, stationed at Columbus, Ohio. There are six grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the Moody funeral home, Clinton, conducted by the Rev. Ross S. WILSON, pastor of the Clinton U. P. church. Burial was in the Clinton cemetery. William John Sturgeon HUNTER, 40, died early Saturday, September 11, 1943, in the Shadyside hospital, Pittsburgh, from injuries received in a manner unknown. Pittsburgh police said HUNTER could not explain how he received a nose fracture, face lacerations, and blackened eyes when found between two parked automobiles at Center avenue and Beatty street, Pittsburgh, on Saturday morning. HUNTER was born November 7, 1902, in McDonald, a son of William J. and Margaret STURGEON HUNTER of McDonald, now residents of Grove City. His grandfather, John A. HUNTER, was widely known in the northern end of Washington county as a carpenter and building contractor, and lived to be over 90 years old. William J. S. HUNTER was graduated from McDonald high school in 1920 and attended Westminster and Muskingum colleges. The HUNTERS-parents and so-moved from McDonald to Grove City in March 1935. Funeral services were held Tuesday in a Grove City funeral home. Burial was in the family lot in the Venice U. P. cemetery
