The Daily Courier Monday, June 9, 1919 MRS ELIZABETH PATTERSON The funeral of Mrs Elizabeth PATTERSON, who died at Vanderbilt, will be held Tuesday at 2:30 o’clock from the home, with Rev J W RILEY, pastor of the Baptist church, officiating. Interment will be in Dickinson Run Union Cemetery. The service is public and friends invited. J. WILBUR BROWNING J Wilbur BROWNING, 36 years old, died Friday at his home at the old Hague school house. Funeral services were held this afternoon at the home of James C BROWNING in Uniontown, followed by interment in Oak Grove cemetery. MRS. REID K. BROOKS The funeral of Mrs Reid K BROOKS was held yesterday afternoon at 1 o’clock from the family residence in East Fairview avenue, followed by services in the United Brethren church at Normalville. Rev G L C RICHARDSON of the First Methodist Episcopal church conducted the service at the church and also at the house, being assisted by the latter place by Rev J S SHOWERS of the United Brethren church. Both services were largely attended. The church was filled with relatives and friends of the deceased. The interment was made at Normalville. MRS. L.A. CARSON Mrs LA CARSON, 65 years old, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs John GADDIS of Fayette county, died suddenly Saturday afternoon at her home in Hopedale, O. She is survived by a large family of children and the following brothers and sisters: Eli GADDIS, New Mexico, and TB GADDIS, Mrs Ellen CLARK and Mrs Hanson RUTTER, all of Uniontown. STEWART DURBIN Largely attended was the funeral of Stewart DURBIN, held Saturday afternoon from the home of his daughter, Mrs JM TRESSLER, South Connellsville. Rev MB MCLAUGHLIN of the South Connellsville Evangelical church officiated. Members of William F Kurtz Post No 104, Grand Army of the Republic, attended in a body, and with Commander WP CLARK in charge, conducted the GAR ritual at Chestnut Hill cemetery, where the interment took place. In the absence of HH YARNELL, Rev JS SHOWERS acted as chaplain. There were a number of pretty floral tributes. The following veterans attended: Captain Edmund DUNN, JE JONES, WP CLARK, Lyman STRICKLER, John DUNHAM, LL COLLINS, Clark COLLINS, JS REAGAN, WH SHAW, John ROBINSON, CH WHITELEY, Israel MILLER and JA MASON. KNUT CARLSON Funeral services for Knut CARLSON, who died at his home at Leisenring from injuries suffered when struck by an automobile, were held Saturday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev Dr Ellis B BURGESS, the pastor, officiated. Arch KELLY, William GRUB, Charles WISTBURG, Abel PETERSON, SC WORTHINGTON and Isaac BALL were pallbearers. The interment was made in Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
