The Valley Independent Thursday, March 25, 1976 LARIMER Harry F LARIMER, 89, a former banker and school director in Monongahela, died yesterday at 10 35 pm in Haven Crest Nursing and Convalescent Home in Carroll Twp. Mr LARIMER was born Oct 3, 1886, in Monongahela, a son of the late Mr and Mrs William LARIMER. He had resided in the Monongahela area all of his life. A veteran of World War I, Mr LARIMER was a cashier at the old First National Bank of Monongahela and later manager of the bank which was purchased by the Western Pennsylvania Bank which is today Equibank. He served from 37 years as a member of the Monongahela Hospital Board of trustees. A graduate of Kiski Prep School, he was a member of the American Legion Lodge Post 302, Monongahela Rotary, Monongahela Planning Commission and past exalted ruler of the Monongahela Elks Club. He was a member of the Monongahela Country Club, the Harry Phillips F&AM No 337 of Monongahela, former president of the Associated Charities, former president of the Washington County Bankers Association, former officer and trustee of the Presbyterian Church of Monongahela and an honorary member of the Monongahela Fire Dept. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen MCCURDY LARIMER. Survivors include one sister, Rebecca SHERRATT of Pittsburgh; a niece, Martha SKELLY of Pittsburgh; and a nephew William SHERRATT of Pittsburgh. Friends will be received after 2 pm tomorrow in the LM Frye Funeral Home in Monongahela. The family suggests contributions be sent to Monongahela Division of Mon Valley Hospital Memorial Fund. Interment will be in Monongahela Cemetery. CAIN Dan CAIN, 89, of 711 Marne Ave, Monongahela, died today at 7 45 in his home following an illness of two years. Mr CAIN was born in Webster in 1886, a son of the late James and Margaret CHESTNUT CAIN. Mr Cain had resided in Monongahela most of her life. Survivors included five daughters, Mrs Elgie (Helen) GRAY, Mrs Joseph (Mary) BOBNAR, Mrs Serafino (Ruth) BONACCI, and Mrs Betty BOYD, all of Monongahela and Mrs Joseph (Edith) FURIGA of New Eagle; 18 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren and one brother, Charles CAIN of Donora. His wife, Anna HARTMAN CAIN, preceded him in death as did a daughter, Sara CAIN, and a son, Neil Daniel CAIN, who was killed in World War II. DESELLEMS Candy Lee DESELLEMS, 618 Fallowfield Ave, Charleroi, who was born March 17 in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital, died yesterday in Children’s Hospital, Pittsburgh. Her twin sister, Mandy Dee, died at Children’s Hospital on March 22. Surviving is her mother, Doreen DESELLEMS, a brother, Steven Ray; maternal grandparents, Mr and Mrs Rex TUTTLE of Charleroi; maternal great-grandparents, Mr and Mrs Stanley GERSKY of Fairless Hills, and maternal great-great-grandmother, Mrs Louise George of Charleroi. ZANARDINI Teresa ZANARDINI, 86, of 6590 Rockland, Dearborn, Mich, died Tuesday at 9 20 pm in Garden City Hospital, Dearborn Heights. She was born in Italy on May 25, 1889 and formerly resided in the California, Pa area. Mrs ZANARDINI was a member of St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church of California. Her husband, Fawst ZANARDINI, died in 1949, a son, ZEFFIRO, died in 1975 and a daughter, Edith ERCALINE, died in 1973. She is survived by a son, Tino of Downey, Calif; a daughter, Mrs Vera KESHISHIAN of Dearborn, Mich; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grand children. Mrs POLOIZANO, a former resident of Belle Vernon, died yesterday at 2 30 am in the John J Kane Hospital, Pittsburgh. Mrs POLOIZANO was born in Italy, a daughter of the late Jack and Tomasina FLORA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles POLOIZANO. Mrs POLOIZANO is survived by one sister, Mrs Josephine FLORA NEIL of Belle Vernon; five brothers, Joseph FLORA of Pittsburgh, John FLORA of Penn Hills, and Ross, Pete and Frank FLORA, all of Belle Vernon, and a number of nieces and nephews. MCKENNA Mrs Lean MCKENNA, 83, of 125 Prospect Ave, Charleroi, died yesterday at 1 45 pm in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. Mrs MCKENNA was born March 22, 1893 in Lohr, Germany and had been a resident of Charleroi since 1913. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Charleroi. Mrs MCKENNA was preceded in death by her husband, Frank MCKENNA on Aug 14, 1973. Survivors include one son, Alfred MCKENNA of Charleroi; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. RANEY Vern Alvin RANEY Sr, 55 of Pittsburgh, a former Donora resident, died last Saturday at 2 05a am at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born in Donora Sept 11.1920, a son of the late Ernest and Lalla GRAVES RANEY. He graduated from Donora High School in 1940, and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Donora. He is survived by a son, Vern Alvin RANEY Jr on Monongahela; a daughter, Kena RANEY of Pittsburgh; granddaughter Robin of Monongahela; two brothers, Sherman Raney Sr of Donora, and DeLawerence RANEY of Washington DC; and a sister Mrs LeDora GOGGINS of Donora. Interment was held Tuesday at Highland Cemetery, Pittsburgh. JACOBS Mrs Anna Jacobs, 87, of 201 Meldon Ave, Donora, died yesterday at 11 50 pm in her home. Mrs Jacobs had been ill the past week. Mrs Jacobs was born in Czechoslovakia on Nov 13, 1888, a daughter of the late Michael and Anna TKACH and has been a resident of Donora for the past 59 years. She was a member of St Dominic Catholic Church of Donora, its Rosary Society and its Sacred Heart Society and the First Catholic Slovak Union, Branch 369 of Donora. Her husband, Paul JACOBS, died on Dec 6, 1959. Survivors include three daughters, Mary JACOBS and Ann JACOBS, both at home, and Mrs Walter (Betty) JABLONSKI of Donora; two sons, Joseph J JACOBS of Scott Twp, Pittsburgh, and Michael P JACOBS of Jessup, Md; one sister, Mrs Elizabeth HERK of Donora; one brother, Michael TEKACH of Donora; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. MORESCHI Teresa MORESCHI, 55, of Victory Hill, Monongahela RD 1, died suddenly yesterday at 9 30 pm at her home. Miss MORESCHI, a former employee of Western Union in Cleveland, Ohio, was born July 10, 1920 in Victory Hill, a daughter of the late Alex and Mary PARTEZANA MORESCHI. She spent 27 years in Cleveland, before returning to Victory Hill in 1971. She was preceded in death by a brother, John MORESCHI, in 1962. Survivors include two sisters, Pauline MORESCHI DAY of Monongahela and Jean MORESCHI MUCCI of Boca Raton, Fla; two brothers, Nick MORESCHI of Donora and Alex MORESCHI of Monongahela, and a number of nieces and nephews in the Mon Valley area. SUCHY Andrew SUCHY Sr, 81, of 444 Center Ave, North Charleroi, died today at 4 30 am at home after a lengthy illness. He was born Jan 6, 1895, in Czechoslovakia, the son of the late Michael and Anna MITNIK SUCHY. He was a Mon Valley resident for the past 53 years, a retired steelworker for American Chain and Cable Company Inc (Pages), Monessen, and a member of St Cyril & Methodius Roman Catholic Church, Charleroi.
