    3. FRESHWATER, GERTZEL, BARTNICKI, COATES Alfred F. FRESHWATER, 66, died at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, 1943, in his home in Burgettstown. He was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian church of Burgettstown. He is survived by his wife, Lulu May SNYDER FRESHWATER, a daughter, Mrs. Wilma THORMBURG of Midway, and a sister, Mrs. Sara GORDON of Morgantown, W. Va. Funeral services were held July 15 in the late home in charge of the Rev. William H. FLURKEY. Burial was in the Paris cemetery. Arthur F. GERTZEL, 46, died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 1943, in his home in Hightstown, N. J. following several months' illness. A son of August W. and Mary HAND GERTZEL, he was born August 31, 1896, in Birmingham, Ala., and came to McDonald with his parents 35 years ago, locating in Valley street. The following year they moved to Hightstown, N. J., where they engaged in farming. Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Belle GERTZEL; a son, August, and a daughter, Mary, both at home and a sister, Mrs. Clara MOUNT of Hightstown, Mrs. Fred GERTZEL of Liberty street, McDonald, is a sister-in-law. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the GERTZEL home. Burial was in Hightstown. Mrs. Anna BARTNICKI, 53, who has been a resident of the Venice locality, R. D. 4, McDonald, for about 10 years, died at 1:25 P.M. Monday, July 19, 1943, in the Mercy hospital, Pittsburgh. Death followed an illness of seven months. She was a member of St. Genevieve's church. Surviving are two sons and two daughters: Joseph BARTNICKI and Mrs. Ann SCHROEDER of Venice, Stanley of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Stella FOSTER of Pittsburgh. She also leaves six grandchildren and three brothers: Stanley KACZMARCZYK of Rices Landing, Joseph of Pittsburgh, and William of Etna. The funeral was held this Thursday morning with requiem high mass in St. Genevieve's church, Canonsburg. Burial was in the St. Patrick's cemetery. Joseph COATES, a ________ died Friday, July 23, 1943, in his home in Imperial following a brief illness. Besides his wife he leaves ___ children and grandchildren.
