Do you know ethnic Rusyn people living in Poland are called Lemko. Were your Buczak/Bucsak/Buchaks Lemkos? Do you know? It is an ethnic Rusyn name. My Rusyn family (Furin/Bucsak/Buczak/Buchak) thought they were "Hungarian" (they were in the old Austro-Hungarian Kingdom), some thought they were Slovak (because their village is in present day Slovakia). Yet, I learned absolutely they were Rusyn (ancestors of the founders of Russia, Swedish Viking traders that settled in the present day Ukraine and Slovakia). Their language was and is Rusyn; Old Church Slovanic, the original language of Kievian Russian. Again they were Greek Catholic (not Orthodox). The ethnic poles and slovaks were Roman Catholic. Some later switched to Romanism in America which their ancestors would have never done. Check google.com search for Lemko, Rusyn, and Ruthenian. It should help you alot on Daniel Buczak/Buchak.
