He is suppose to have come to America when he was 8 years old. He lived in Westmoreland Co. in 1790. His wife is Jane Wilson the daughter of William Wilson. William Wilson lived in Salem Township in 1790. Robert and Jane were married in 1784 I believe. In the late 1790's Robert and Jane moved to Butler Co, PA becoming some of that county's first settlers. Known children of Robert and Jane include: John, Mary, William Riddle, Jane, Rebecca, Samuel, Margaret Ann, Elizabeth, and James.
