MCPEAK, HAIL, ROSS Efforts by physicians in the West Penn hospital, Pittsburgh, to save the life of Floyd MCPEAK, aged 5, of Burgettstown, who was kicked by a cow and injured internally on July 11, failed, when the child died at 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon while being operated on. The accident occurred on a farm owned by the boy's father. The funeral services for Mary Margaret HAIL were held at her late home at Gaily on Tuesday afternoon by Rev. HILDEBRAND of the Union church. The little girl was laid to rest in the Butler cemetery. She was loved by all who knew her. The flowers and floral emblems were many and beautiful. *Oakdale column William E. ROSS, aged 65 years, died at his home in Third street at 1:40 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon, August 4th, of heart trouble. He had been in poor health for some time. Mr. ROSS was born in Peters Township, Washington County. He was united in marriage with Anna F. WOODS, who died December 1919. About twenty years ago they moved to a farm in Robinson Township where they resided until about six years ago, when they moved to McDonald. One daughter, Mrs. William E. WEBBER survives. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
