Herman Hoebing and Christina Dahlhaus (sp) were his gggrandparents. Their daughter Christine married his ggrandfather Peter John Clemens. While visiting the cemetary to gather information I did find the gravesites of Christine (Hoebing) Clemens, Bernard Hoebing and his family, as well as Anna C. (Hoebing) Slain. I also have photographs of the Headstones for those who are interested. Any other information on the Hoebings and/or Clemens family would be greatly appreciated. I am also researching the Quinns/Mays from my husbands Maternal side of the family.

HAMPSON, MCCALMONT, BABLE, PALIN, DEGELMAN Ernest HAMPSON of Canonsburg died Saturday, June 5, 1936. He was a brother of Joseph HAMPSON of Laurel hill. Mrs. Mary HAMPSON of Fannie street is a sister-in-law. He was born in England. His wife, Nellie GILES HAMPSON, died three years ago. He is survived by these children: Ruth and Nellie, at home: Mrs. J. A. HUBBARD of Baltimore, Md., Harold of Mt. Oliver, and Ernest of Canonsburg. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon. Burial was in the Canonsburg cemetery. Samuel J. MCCALMONT, 64, died at 1:25 a.m., Sunday, June 7, 1936, in his home in Burgettstown. He suffered a heart attack several months ago. A son of James P. and Katherine MCFARLAND MCCALMONT, he was born June 12, 1872, near Paris. He was a member of the Burgettstown U. P. church and well known. He leaves his wife, Zula D. MCCALMONT; a daughter, Catherine, and a son, James, both at home, and three brothers, John E. and Robert Z. of Pittsburgh, and Joseph M. of Glenshaw. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the home in charge of the Rev. R. C. SUTTON. Burial was in the Fairview cemetery, Burgettstown. George M. BABLE, 75, died at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 1936, in his home in Robinson township. Infirmities due to his years caused his death. Mr. BABLE, a carpenter by trade, served as constable for 14 years and registry assessor for more that 30 years. He was born and lived his life in the township in which he died. Mr. BABLE leaves the following children: James BABLE, Hanover township; Robert BABLE, New Brighton; J. Lawrence BABLE, Midway; Miss Amy BABLE, Beaver Falls; Mrs. Harry DRUGMAND, Imperial, and Miss Eleanor BABLE, at home; a sister, Mrs. John OWEN, Coraopolis, R. D., and nine grandchildren. His wife, Mrs. Irene BABLE, died two years ago, and a sister, Mrs. William MILLER, Hanover township, died one week ago. Funeral services were held in the late home Saturday afternoon in charge of the Rev. J. Walter IRWIN, pastor of Robinson church. Burial was in Robinson cemetery. Mrs. Elizabeth PALIN, 72, widow of George PALIN, died at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, June 4, 1936, in her home in Midway after a lingering illness. A daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth KURTZROCK, she was born June 11, 1854, in Germany, and with her parents came to the United States in 1865, her family settling in Midway. She had spent her entire life in Midway. On June 22, 1882, she married George PALIN, whose death occurred September 12, 1899. She leaves four daughters: Mrs. John HALLMAN and Mrs. Emma WADE of Midway, Mrs. Thomas LEMON and Mrs. Marshall CANONGE, both of Ambridge; two sons, John, at home, and William of Windsor Heights, W. Va.: a sister, Martha KURTZROCK, and a brother Conrad, both of Midway. There are 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon and were in charge of the Rev. E. L. RALSTON. Burial was in the Center cemetery, Midway. The Rev. John Howard HANSON died at 11:40 a.m., Thursday, June 4, 1936, in the Canonsburg hospital after a long illness of pernicious anemia and heart trouble. He was born in Bowling Green, Ky., and the last six years he had resided in Midway, where for several years he was pastor of the Baptist church. He is survived by his wife and a daughter Louise, and a son Earl of Midway. There are two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon. The Rev. Mr. ERB of the Canonsburg Baptist church was assisted by the Rev. E. L. RALSTON of Midway. Burial was in Center cemetery. O. R. DEGELMAN of the Lodge, about 2 ½ miles from Clinton, died Saturday morning after a short illness of heart trouble. He is survived by his wife, Lucy NEWMYER DEGELMAN, two daughters, Mrs. Jane B. SEARING and Mrs. Lucy SULLIVAN, and a son Oliver R. He came from Pittsburg several years ago.

DECOLA, TURNER, ROBINSON, WALLACE, MILLER, GOULD, RILEY Peter J. DECOLA, 46, died at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 1936, in the Mercy hospital. Heart trouble was the cause of his sudden death. Mr. DECOLA, a local fruit dealer, had gone to Pittsburgh in his truck Tuesday morning for supplies. That evening he had a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital, where he died shortly after. He was born in 1890 in Termini Imerisi, Italy, and came to this country in 1907. He served in the World War from December 1917, and was discharged in May 1919. He was a private in Company M., 330th Infantry, 83d Division. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 485. He is survived by two daughters, Delores, 13, and Betty, 11, both of Castle Shannon, and the following brothers: Joseph of North McDonald street, McDonald, Antonio and Salvadore, both of Toledo, Ohio, and Caloggero of Italy. The body is at the home of his brother Joseph at 202 North McDonald street. Funeral services will be held this Saturday at 9 a.m. in St. Alphonsus church, the Rev. Fr. J. A. BURGOON, officiating. Burial will be in the Noblestown cemetery. William Joseph TURNER, 26, of 341 Coal street, McDonald, died at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 1936, in the Mercy hospital after an illness of six weeks. Death was due to a tumor on the brain. He was born in 1910 in Midway, where he attended school. The followed the occupation of a miner. Besides his mother, Mrs. John DEMASCAL, he leaves a sister, Marie ALLARD, and two brothers, Leon and John DEMASCAL, all of McDonald. His father, Louis TURNER is dead. Funeral services were held Wednesday from his late home in Coal street. Burial was in the Midway cemetery. Out of town folk attending the funeral were Catherine VALENT of Imperial and Mr. and Mrs. Duncan WEBSTER and son William and Mrs. CHRISTIAN of Pittsburgh. Charles P. ROBINSON, 72, widely known farmer and stock raiser of Mt. Pleasant township, died at 10:15 a.m. Monday, June 1, 1935, in the Washington hospital, after an extended illness. His condition had been serious since he underwent an operation April 28. He was a son of Henry and Sarah BARNETT ROBINSON and had lived in the Mt. Pleasant township community all his life. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian church. In politics, he was a staunch Democrat. Besides his wife, Mary Belle CALDWELL ROBINSON, he leaves three children: E. K. ROBINSON of Akron, Ohio, Oliver B. ROBINSON of R. D. 4, McDonald, and Harry R. ROBINSON of Burgettstown; five grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. David MCGUGIN of Sargent, Neb. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the home in charge of the Rev. C. S. THOMAS, pastor of the Mt. Prospect Presbyterian church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Robert Craig WALLACE, 67, died at ___ p.m., Friday, May 29, 1936, in his home in State street Oakdale. Heart trouble was the cause of his death. Born December 1, 1868, near Oakdale, he was a son of John and Elizabeth CRAIG WALLACE. He attended the Oakdale academy. On May 15, 189(5?), he was united in marriage to Sarah WARRENSFORD of near Bridgeville. The Rev. A. A. MEALY performed the ceremony. Mr. WALLACE spent practically his entire life in Oakdale and vicinity. He was a member of Royal Oak Lodge No. ***, IOOF and was a trustee of the Noblestown U. P. church since 1913. Besides his wife, he leaves one daughter, Anna, the wife of Peter HENNEMUTH of Oakdale; a brother, Charles WALLACE of Treveskyn, and two half-sisters, Mrs. Margaret GORMAN of Noblestown and Mrs. Agnes BOWLAND of Sturgeon. There are four living grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday from his late home in State street, the Rev. R. M. GROVE, pastor of the Noblestown U. P. church, officiating. Burial was in the Oakdale cemetery. Out-of-town relatives and friends attending the funeral were: Mrs. Cleve BARBER and Mrs. William BURKETT of Houston, Mr. and Mrs. T. A. D. SAUNDERS of Canonsburg. Mrs. William MILLER, 56, died at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 1936, in the home of her brother, James BABLE, in Bavington. She is survived by the following brothers, G. M. BABLE of Robinson and James BAGLE of Hanover township, one sister, Mrs. John OWEN, of Coraopolis; also two step-children, Albert MILLER and Mrs. Eugene DEAROLPH, both of Ohio. Funeral services were held in the home of her brother, James BABLE in Bavington, last Friday afternoon in charge of the Rev. S. G. NEAL of Hebron. Burial was in Hebron cemetery. Mrs. Anna LINTON GOULD, a sister of Samuel LINTON, died at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 1936, in the home of her sister, Mrs. Jennie YOUNG, in McKees Rocks. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the McKees Rocks Presbyterian church. Mrs. Mary Jane RILEY, who had many friends in this vicinity, died at the age of 84 last Friday morning in her home in Crafton and was buried Monday afternoon in the Clinton cemetery. Mrs. RILEY was a member of the M. E. Church and had been active in several of the prominent clubs and societies in the Chartiers valley.

I am seeking the following person: Raymond FRYE born maybe 1905/10 in Lawrence Co. PA but thought to have resided last in the Pittsburgh or surrounding areas. Don't know who raised him but he may have been orphaned or raised by a Frye family member. His father was Wallace Merl FRYE (died 1927 New Castle,PA) & Mary M. HAMMOND but they divorced 1910 and both remarried. At time of death of Wallace, his wife was listed as a Phebe Sitsinger and children: Jean & Madeline. Now after looking for further obits in New Castle, Edward FRYE was the Father of Wallace (grandfather then to Raymond that I am seeking) Edward's obit says he was b. 1866 in Youngstown, OHIO and his wife, Ella Irene HAYS FRYE b. 1865 in Wheatland, Mercer County,PA. and their children were Wallace, Frank, Charles L.(of Youngstown,OH) and Daisy FRYE. And the parents of Edward were given as Daniel & Caroline FRYE in the obit. Does any of this make a connection? I am not researching the FRYE families...only Raymond as he would have been my half uncle....on his mother's side...Mary M. HAMMOND. He visited the family several times and even left photos. McDonald Record-Outlook - Thursday, Aug. 7, 1952. OAKDALE BOY DROWNS IN SMALL POND A North Fayette township boy drowned Wednesday afternoon of last week while swimming in a small lake near the intersection of the Oakdale and Imperial roads, near the Oakdale Sportsmen's Club. He was Kenneth Illar, 11, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Illar of R. D. 1, Oakdale. The boy had been swimming with his brother and a group of playmates, when the tragedy occurred. The body was recovered by the Imperial firemen. Efforts to revive the youth by artificial respiration failed. Surviving besides his parents, are two brothers, John and Lawrence, and a sister, Mary Ann, all at home. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the Weir funeral home, Imperial, in charge of the Rev. J. T. Richardson, pastor of the Noblestown Methodist church. Burial was in Melrose cemetery, Bridgeville.
