Mr. McDowell was 67 years old, having been born on July 6, 1869 at Laughlintown. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emma McDowell, two sons, Willis and Wallace, one daughter, Emmabelle, and one grandson. A sister in Seattle, Washington, also survives. Funeral services were held Monday morning at 11 o'clock in the Presbyterian Church in charge of Rev. D. Alan Martens. She was born February 24, 1880, in Ligonier Township, daughter of Cyrus & Isabel Jane McDowell, and was the widow of Eldridge McDowell who died in 1937. Surviving are two sons, Willis McDowell of RD 3, Wallace McDowell and Mrs. Herbert (Emma Belle) Peterson of RD 1, Ligonier; a brother, Walter McDowell of RD 2, Irwin; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Rev. Benton R. McKee of Heritage United Methodist Church, of which she was a member, conducted obsequies Monday in Gordon O.
