At the dedication of the restored Snyder County Civil War Soldiers and Sailors Monument in Middleburg, PA on May 31st (Memorial Day), a wreath will be laid at the monument by four veterans who are also descendants of Civil War soldiers. Two of these men - Maurice M. Zechman and Russell J. Goss - are descendants of Reuben Zechman of Company D of the 74th Pennsylvania. The dedication will take place in the evening following Middleburg's Memorial Day parade (approximately 6:15pm).
