MCCORD, COWDEN, CHAMBERS, HULTZ, KENNEDY, MURPHY, MCCLELLAND June 12, 1897 McDonald PA Outlook In Pittsburg, on the 7th inst., Dr. George Thornton MCCORD, aged 51 years. Deceased was a native of Venice, a son of 'Squire John A. MCCORD, deceased, and so well to most of our readers that it (is) unnecessary to dwell on the details of his family relationship. He had practiced medicine on Wiley Avenue for over twenty years. He was once principal of the Burgettstown schools. His wife, still living, was Miss Ella HUNTER, of Dinsmore. He has a son, Thomas C., a medical student, and a daughter, Miss Bessie, a teacher in the Eleventh Ward. The funeral was on Tuesday, and the interment at Homewood Cemetery. George T. MCCORD was well liked by all (who) knew him. He was a generous fellow and straightforward in all his dealings. He was a very popular and successful physician. At her home in Mt. Pleasant township, on the 8th, Mrs. Margaret MCNARY COWDEN, wife of John M. COWDEN. Deceased and her husband had been married only a year. May 25th, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. COLEMAN, South Side, Pittsburgh, Mrs. Anna, wife of Ex.-Sheriff W. B. CHAMBERS, of Canonsburgh. (sic) On the 21st, ult., at her home in Bethel Township, Allegheny County, Mrs. Matilda HULTZ, widow of Col. Hiram HULTZ, aged 77 years. At Oakdale, on the 7th, Porter, son of Howard and Elizabeth KENNEDY, aged 18 months. At Oakdale, on the 6th, Gertrude, the daughter of J. H. and Clara MURPHY, aged 10 years. Mrs. Ebenezer McClelland, aged 30 years, died while asleep and apparently in good health at her home in North Strabane Sunday night.
