Hi Geni Friends, Now that is an interesting twist to a name, taking the first name as a last name. My Grandfather's name tho was Joseph Williams ( unless he has had us all fooled ) from Russia. In the 1910 census shows him and wife Mary both 30 years old with 6 children in Cannonsburg borough, Washington County, Pa. He immigrated in 1886 and Naturalized, his wife immigrated in 1887. Story told is that he came first with his brother to find work in the coal mines and make a home for his wife. Joseph Williams retired from the coal mines in the Vestaburg and Marianna, Pa. area. I would think that it would be The Pittsburgh-Buffalo Company. I was hoping someone in that area could tell me where to search if he recieved a pension and where to write to that company for information. He died at age 66 July 28, 1936 and Mary Williams died at age 74 on June 7, 1943, so she must have recieved a widow's pension. Still hoping some one will recognize this Williams family.
