In the 1860 census my Great Grandmother Anna Eliza DOWLING was either living or visiting Alex MORROW (his wife Ellenor) family in North Fayette, Allegheny co. Pa. 1870 the Morrows were still living there minus Anna Eliza. The Morrows are connected in another way, Anna Eliza DOWLING married Elijah PHILLIPS sometime in the late 1870's. His uncle James PHILLIPS married Mary Jane MORROW (b. in Pa) James died in 1849, William MORROW became the guardian of James and Mary Janes daughter Rebecca. All of these families have lived either in Allegheny Co., Washington Co., some were born in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia and West Virginia. If anyone has information I would appreciate hearing from you, I have much more statistics but way too much to put down here. Thank you, Alice
Alice I know that there are PHILLIPS and MARROW researchers on the Washington County List. I have some references for PHILLIPS going back to about 1848; these are members of the Baptists. None of the names you mention are listed. If, you have other names and think they may have been members of the Baptist religion send them to me and I'll check my reference. There are a few MARROW, but, they are present day names. No DOWLING names in my reference.
