    3. Arrested on a Very Serious Charge Edward E. WEST, a quarry man of Homestead, was arrested yesterday, and placed under $2000 bail by Judge MAGEE on a charge of rape. The information is made by William G. STRUP, who alleges that WEST assaulted his half-demented wife in a wood near Homestead. The lady became so ill that she had to be taken to the West Penn Hospital, where she now lies in a serious condition. Mysteriously Missing From His Home The police were notified yesterday, of the sudden disappearance of Thomas QUINN, aged thirty-four, from his home at Woodville, Pa., on Saturday morning. His friends are alarmed and anxious for some clues as to his whereabouts.
