Hello List, I am interested in information on any of the people below. I would like to establish a connection to the Geisler family of East Liberty around the turn of the century - 1880s-1920s. I believe most of the baptisms and marriages occured at Sts Peter and Paul RC Church in E. Liberty. John and Catherine Kirchner (sponsors for baptism of Irene Geisler) Thomas Lauderheim and Rosa Lang (sponsors for baptism of Charles Geisler) William and Maria Kruft (sponsors for baptism of John William Geisler) Hermann Sagemann (I believe is husband of Catherine Sagemann?) Joseph Ganster (Witness for marriage of John P and Margaret Geisler) E. Suhr (Witness for marriage of Joseph Lang and Catherine Geisler) Also interested in Philip and Catherine Geisler CYPHERS and Margaretta LANG Geisler or any Pittsburgh LANGS that might be related to Margaretta/ Margaret. Tomi I tried to look up that church, but could not find it. I don't know if writing to the Pittsburgh Diocese would help. I know that when churches close, they give their records to someone else to keep for them. Hi Tomi A couple of names listed below - got my attention but I don't know if there is any connection. My Great Grandfather was Leo Edward LANG (son of Peter LANG and Magdalena ZWICK). My Gr Grandparents, Peter Lang and wife had 12 children: Jospeh G. Lang Leo Edward Lang George J. Lang Harry Lang Anna Lang Elizabeth Lang Albert C. Lang Theodore J. Tom Sts.Peter & Paul church does not exist anymore. It may have joined another church but I don't think so. If you write to the diocesan office they may be able to help you. Barb, Sts Peter & Paul, E. Liberty and German says to me Sts Peter & Paul Lutheran Church. The building was given over to a community group years ago.
