G. G. O'BRIEN of Pittsburgh has been appointed parole officer for the Federal court in Western Pennsylvania. Heretofore this office has had volunteers who served without pay. Mr. O'BRIEN, who served in the World war, is the firs salaried appointee. He is well known in McDonald. His wife is Marie VALENTOUR, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. VALENTOUR of Station street.
