Hello Bryan, I have the Langs in Ward 22 Pitts in 1870 and ward 20 in 1880. They were Catholic and lived on Shady Ave at one time. I believe John emigrated around 1850. I'm not sure if John and Catharine were married before or after they arrived in the U S. As I just discovered them last week I don't know a lot yet. They are my ggg grandparents. Look forward to hearing from you. My Langs are in South Side/South Hills area as far as I can tell. There are quite a few of them, so I'm not 100% sure where they all were, but that's the general central point. Shady Ave rings a bell for me - either my mom or her grandparents from either the SCHOLL or the LANG side of the family tree lived on Shady Ave. I'll have to call mom.
