The 1951 Pittsburgh Phone Directory is now online on our site: http://www.evendon.net/PGHLookups/Pgh1951M.htm The page images are pretty large so they download more slowly than most of the material on our site. We left them this way because they're difficult to read otherwise. If you don't find what you're looking for with the search, you can search the book by browsing like a regular phone book instead. We'll be posting a survey on our site soon asking which decade's books we should scan next. We have at least 3 books from the 1930s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s. The books on the main directory page on our site: http://directory.evendon.com which are listed but have no links are the ones waiting to be scanned. I'll post a link to the survey as soon as it's ready. Don
Dear List, We have just added a 1911 Street Directory to our site. The new book is at http://www.evendon.net/PGHLookups/PghStreets1911M.htm We also have added a link to every page on our site to make it easy to reference specific pages. It's at the top of each page and it's marked "Copy/Paste ..." We also have added example search results which appear whenever you do a search. Your results appear below this example so scroll down to see them. Your feedback on these or other features on our site are always appreciated and utilized to improve the site. Everything on our site is free and permanent. Have a good weekend and thanks to all the appreciative post sent privately regarding the 1951 Pittsburgh Phone Book we posted earlier in the week. Eve and Don Krieger
Dear List, We have just added a complete version of the 1876 book. It is a good companion to the complete 5 volume set by Bates enumerating PA's volunteers in the Civil War. This is also found on our site. http://military.evendon.com Eve and Don Krieger
Dear List, Please help us choose the next set of directories we will add to our site. We have created a polling page where you can register your preferences with us. Please vote only once per visit to our site: http://www.evendon.net/PGHLookups/Poll2.shtml Thanks, everybody. Eve and Don
