The problem is that each big tract of land was broken into 10s of tracts each with separate lot and block numbers in the 1940s after the war. Originally I had intended to do exactly what you suggested, but the people at the Recorder of Deeds office convinced me that it would take hours and hours. I had hoped that the property history cards which they have in Room 303 might allow me to find the current location, but one has to have a lot and block and the histories do not go back farther than 1948. We are talking about 110 years of subdividing the farm. So, thanks for the tip about the id numbers. I will go out to Forliview Road and have a look around.
