    1. [PA-PITTSBURGH] Jeannette U. Lenkner -deed from John A. Denham, Mary E. Denham, Jennie K. Denham
    2. Al - I believe one of your ancestors bought land from one of my ancestors. see below. Jeannette U. Lenkner bought a parcel of land on 5/3/1897 in Shaler from the estate of Alexander Denham(husband of Mary Logan Denham). See Volume 967 page 154 of the Deed books The sellers were John A. Denham, Mary E. Denham, Jennie K. Denham Are there any people on the PA-PITTSBURGH list with ancestors Clara M. Rodgers (Rogers), Robert A. Gilfillan, Jeannette U. Lenkner? Or familiar with the Shaler area west of Glenshaw? I am looking for the present location of the Samuel Logan farm which was broken up and sold to those persons in 1896. Boundaries were North - land of John Scott, East land of R.S. Thompson West land of B. Seibert and m. Voeghtly South land of Mary Logan Denham Mary Logan's land was: sold to the three people listed above. formerly belonged to Mary Quigg - identified as Lot number 29 in the Jones 1st District of Depreciation lands. I went to the Recorder of Deeds office today and one of their map experts helped me as much as he could. I have a map from 1876 which shows the farm east of Glenshaw with Little Pine Creek running through it - right near the Ross township border. We think we narrowed it down to an area called Forliview No 1 - 4 in the 1948 maps on Sheet J. Thanks. Deb Logan, Pittsburgh **************Planning your summer road trip? Check out AOL Travel Guides. 3. Dear Deb, It sounds like it would be worthwhile to track through the deeds on at least one of the properties to the present. Once you have the name and present day description of the location of the property, you can find it on the Assessment site: http://www2.county.allegheny.pa.us/RealEstate/Search.asp Notice that each property there has a parcel ID. The first 3 fields of this ID are almost the same for adjacent properties. So once you have a parcel ID for one of the properties, you can find the others, see the names of the owners and addresses, and lay them out on one of Internet mapping facilities or even use the one right on the assessment site itself. I can help with the Assessment lookups if there is something you want to do which their search doesn't seem to allow.
