Barb, I am very interested in this topic, as I believe my greatgrandmother's older brother, a Patrick KELLY, b. abt. 1851/52, PA might have been a fireman.? On the Historic Pgh site I found a Patrick Kelly along with a Charles Kneeland (a great-great aunt was married to Walter Kneeland;? I also believe Charles was his father or uncle). Could you possibly check the source you refer to, and see if there is any mention of either of these guys?? With a name like "Patrick Kelly", he's been one tough person to track.? Last known location for him is in the 1880 Allegheny Co., census, living with his mother, Mary [Ann] nee DOLAN KELLY HALL.? She is a widow.? After this I have no idea where he ended up, or when he died, who he married, etc. Any help you can provide will be most appreciated. Thanks so much for your time.
