I know this isn't genealogy, but... In the early days of TV in Pgh, The Howdy Doody show on the DuMont Network, came on every day, I believe. Also Andy Devine had a Saturday show, with Froggy the Gremlin ("Plunk your magic twanger, Froggy"). This line started the cartoons. When I went to Humboldt School ('51 - '57) on 19th & Sarah S.S.(presently Phillips School) we used to go home for lunch. Right after the 15 minute news on KDKA (as I recall,) Hank Stohl and Knish came on. I remember watching it every school day. Does any one remember Josie Carey's story hour? I'm pretty sure it was a fore-runner of Mr. Rogers neighborhood. Part of Mr. Rogers' set, the castle, King, etc. were from her show as I recall. We went to WQED one school year and watched Josie talking to those characters. Also, Clark Race Dance show on Saturday afternoons (KDKA I believe). One last name, Reg Cordic on KDKA. A few great memories... John Cichowicz formerly of the Sahside
