OK, no fee, but you do have to send a written, signed request with your ancester's birth dates, names when they attended school, what school they attended, if they attended a high school, what year they graduated. Normally you would send that to Linda Gerba here at the board, but I believe you can now send it to Pittsburgh Board of Education Office of Technology Room 355 341 S. Bellefield Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15213 I do not do this research, I work in the Finance Dept. Are the records available, for what years, and how would one request a search and/or copy? What is the fee?
