    3. As I was going through the July 1, 1906 edition of the Pittsburgh Press I found this article. My eyes were drawn to it because of the time as a child, I spent at the Lake. My dad kept a boat there and every summer Sunday we would go up and ride around the lake. Of course my brother, sister and I would have preferred going the park. If my dad did pull the boat into the park, us kids were not allowed to ride the rides, only watch mom and dad play skee ball. Occasionally on Westinghouse picnic day we were allowed on a few of the rides (my dad had some unusual ideas about proper behavior). His aunt and uncle Tom and Pearl (Long) Sutch had a cottage on the lake. Anyway, here's the article: Exposition Park, Conneaut, June 30.-The last week was very slow at Exposition Park. The largest picnics were from Franklin, Sharon and Butler, but they were small in comparison with what they were last year. Odd Fellows' Day was the smallest ever in the history of the resort. This was due to the lack of advertising, but the falling off in attendance is due to the large business the mills are doing this summer. Formerly the mills shut down or ran short-handed during the summer. But the large number of orders booked make it impossible to allow many vacations this year. E.D. Comstock, who broke his leg two weeks ago, and has been in Spencer Hospital in Meadville, came out to his cottage Tuesday. Mrs. A. Jahn and family, of Homestead, have taken a cottage at the park and will remain during the summer. Following is a list of new arrivals at Conneaut Lake: At Hotel Conneaut: From Pittsburgh- Mr. and Mrs. F.
