Kathy, Allegheny City (Pittsburgh's Northside) 1900 census was separate from Pittsburgh. Allegheny City was annexed by Pittsburgh in 1907, so the 1920 census should show up included in the Pittsburgh census. The Northside ward numbers at that time were 21 through 27, I think. Be creative when looking for the Reeher name. The handwriting is ofter very bad, especially "e", it could be read as an "i", "ic", or just about anything. If you think Frank Reeher lived in Allegheny City in 1900 and have any additional information about him, send it to me and I'll take another look. The closest I came so fat was Frank Reichel (which is possilbe) at 877 South Canal St. Gma Barb babarnes@nauticom.net
Idea: If you know names of any neighbors that may help identify your own ancestors. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Barb" <babarnes@nauticom.net> To: <PA-PITTSBURGH-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, October 26, 2001 9:39 AM Subject: Re: [PITTSBURGH] 1850 census > Kathy, Allegheny City (Pittsburgh's Northside) 1900 census was separate from > Pittsburgh.
