Al, Thank you for the info on the city assessment site. They don't go very far back as far as previous owners. Do you know where that information would be? I live in Enumclaw, WA, and can't get there personally. Do I write the assessment site, or what??? Thanks for your help. jean schmidt PA-PITTSBURGH-D-request@rootsweb.com wrote: > > Subject: > > PA-PITTSBURGH-D Digest Volume 01 : Issue 329 > > Today's Topics: > #1 Re: [PITTSBURGH] Tombstone Web Pag [TACODMK@aol.com] > #2 [PITTSBURGH] St. Mary's Cemetery, ["Donna" <arbonjul@mediaone.net>] > #3 [PITTSBURGH] Surnames I am searchi [Economou <azathoth@telerama.com>] > #4 Re: [PITTSBURGH] Tombstone Web Pag ["Dee and Bob Stalioraitis" <bubuca] > #5 Re: [PITTSBURGH] Bates Street/Coul [" " <pigeonrock@earthlink.net>] > #6 [PITTSBURGH] Surnames [Kro476@aol.com] > #7 Re: [PITTSBURGH] Ohio Deaths [Al Lenkner <alenkner@stargate.net>] > #8 Re: [PITTSBURGH] Bates Street [Al Lenkner <alenkner@stargate.net>] > #9 Re: [PITTSBURGH] St. Mary's Cemete [Al Lenkner <alenkner@stargate.net>] > #10 Re: [PITTSBURGH] Surnames MOONEY/C ["pat sullivan" <sully123@laserconn] > #11 Re: [PITTSBURGH] Surnames ["Ed Lloyd & Family" <jemlloyd@info] > #12 Re: [PITTSBURGH] Surnames [Kro476@aol.com] > #13 Re: [PITTSBURGH] OBITS ["Carol S." <aceso225@flash.net>] > > Administrivia: > SUE MCALISTER, LIST OWNER > To unsubscribe from PA-PITTSBURGH-D, send a message to > > PA-PITTSBURGH-D-request@rootsweb.com > > that contains in the body of the message the command > > unsubscribe > > and no other text. I have recently found quite a bit of information about the Annunciation Church on Charles Street that they attended. It seems that Annunciation Church and St. Mary's Cemetery were closely linked. The church borrowed money from the Cemetery at one point, and many of their parishoners were buried there. Doesn't anyone know which St. Mary's Cemetery would have been closely associated with the Annunciation Church? Jean, You can write to the Recorder of Deeds on Ross Street at the County Office Building. That's were the records of all deeds going back to the formation of Allegheny County. I would imagine that they will copy the deeds but I don't know what the cost is. Are there any listers who would know the information Jean is looking for?
